But he also loved Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) which was her name before she added the Spencer name. Hope, like Steffy, was an equal participant in a triangle in which all three people were responsible for its creation, existence, and ending.
A slanted view toward or away from any in the above-named trio would arguably be a dishonest assessment.
Hope recently decided that her mother, Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang), holds some semblance of responsibility for the confused feelings she has about Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson).
But just as Hope, Liam, or Steffy would be rationalizing if they blamed one of the two triangle participants for the problems that existed during those past periods in the plot, so too is Noelle’s character wrong to blame her mother’s backstory now.
Yes, Brooke has a legendary romantic resume in Los Angeles, California. Steffy’s late grandmother, Stephanie Forrester (Susan Flannery), created a slur term for Brooke that Lang’s character occasionally references when lamenting her past free will behavior. But Hope is a grown woman, who has a mind of her own and whose thoughts are not controlled by her mother.
Hope lashed out at Brooke recently, telling her mother she was glad to be nothing like her. That comment was unnerving, surprised Brooke, and rightfully made her remind Hope about parental respect.
Similarly, Hope lashed out at Liam, telling Thomas that she was forced to handle with his various betrayals. She added having never caused Liam problems.
The implication was that Liam’s free will choices regarding his multiple instances of involvement with Steffy were driving Hope’s emergent desires for Thomas now. Balderdash is one word that could be applied to Hope’s claim.
Hope is not a child like the daughter, Beth Spencer (Jordyn Lynn Ariza), she and Liam have. Noelle’s character is an early middle-aged woman who claims to have a hopeful view of the future, thus the name of the line she heads at Forrester Creations.
Thomas used to blame Liam for his problems. He pretended the love Hope had for Clifton’s character lacked dominance. That was the reason why she rejected Thomas with regularity.
Now Hope is pointing mental fingers at her mother and husband as a way to explain the thoughts she has about Thomas. Soon, she might cite Atkinson’s character as being responsible for wanting to betray Liam, as this storyline seems to be trending toward. If so, that will be wrong as well on B&B.
