Welcome to Plathville rumors of a divorce between Olivia and Ethan Plath started back in 2020. Of course, the TLC show made it obvious that there was trouble in paradise. In fact, on the show, she made it clear that they were running into problems. But so far, they stayed together. Recently, a new rumor started by her sister Sophia sparked the story once again. But are they actually getting a divorce?

Welcome To Plathville – The Woes Of Olivia & Ethan Plath

If you think back, apart from clashing with Kim and Barry Plath, almost the entire storyline of Olivia and Ethan has focused on their alleged failing marriage. Season 5 is currently filming, so there’s very little being said by the couple on their respective Instagram accounts. Actually, Ethan has been busy moving his stuff from Georgia to Minnesota recently. Meanwhile, Olivia has been traveling. While they barely mention each other, could it all be a buildup to yet another season of them experiencing trouble in paradise?

Welcome To Plathville fans had expected that the Amazon Prime docuseries, Shiny Happy People would include the Plath family. That never happened, but Olivia did react to it. In her video, some TLC fans thought that because she wasn’t wearing a ring, it meant that she and Ethn had split. However, if you check out her Instagram, she seldom wears her ring. And, not everyone does. After all, it’s not mandatory, and sometimes inconvenient. So, that can’t be taken as a sign of a divorce.

Welcome To Plathville – Divorce Rumors Ethan & Olivia Plath

The new divorce rumors arrived via Sophia, Olivia’s sister. That happened when she commented about a definite divorce on Realitta Squad. However, Olivia quickly denied the story to Sarah Howes who runs the influencer account. Reshared in a  new post, she said, ” …I just wanted to take a second and clarify. Sophia is my younger sister, but her and I have a very distant/strained relationship due to our worldviews and reactions to the ultra-religious world we were raised in.”

The Welcome To Plathville star continued by saying, “…she actually isn’t a reliable source when it comes to my personal information as she doesn’t know about my personal life. There is a lot of speculation going around, but if Ethan and I had something to share, we would. Thanks!”

Well, it is possible that her sister is distant from her. Recall, Olivia’s younger brother Micah died recently in an accident. At the time, Olivia said that she is estranged from her siblings because she left the religious road that they travel.

Welcome To Plathville – More Evidence Of No Divorce?

Welcome To Plathville fans who follow Katie Joy of Without A Crystal Ball saw that she checked out the records in Minnesota. According to Katie, “To date, there are absolutely no divorce filings by either party. Ethan has an outstanding parking ticket – that’s his only court case.”

Furthermore, Sophia apparently approached the influencer with a similar story some years ago. The inference is that Sophia possibly seems to be up to some clout-chasing. What are your thoughts? Sound off in the comments below.
