Amy King Shares Thoughts On Jim Bob Covering Up Josh’s Actions

Duggar Family News reveals that Amy King has started to open up more about the fact that she thinks Jim Bob Duggar was covering up Josh Duggar’s actions for years. When Josh was a teenager, he sexually molested a few young girls, some of them were his own sisters. Jim Bob claimed that he did take Josh to the sheriff, but he got a slap on the wrist since the sheriff was a family friend. After Amy appeared in the Amazon docu-series, Shiny, Happy People, she has opened up a lot more about her famous cousin and uncle and just how she thinks it was all a cover up.

Amy King – Weighs In on Josh Duggar’s Predatory Behaviors

Amy was never told about what happened with Josh, but she found out like the rest of the world on television. The news broke in 2015 that Josh’s actions took place in 2002. In 2003, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar were told about two other incidents of Josh molesting an underage girl again. This is when he was sent away for four months to a Christian camp where he would be counseled for his actions. Of course, we all know that didn’t work. Amy admitted that Josh’s parents “didn’t want anyone to know what happened.”

When speaking of her uncle, Amy told her fans, “To think that someone holds a higher value than someone else is just disgusting. My last straw was the last scandal with Josh. I can’t imagine protecting a predator. I think that is the lowest of the low, and there’s no going back from that.”

Amy King – The Strained Duggar Relationships

Amy has been open about how she doesn’t really talk to most of her Duggar relatives any longer. Her religious beliefs are much more liberal than the Duggars. She also feels that Jim Bob and Michelle are trying to control Jana Duggar and that is why she is still living with them and still single. Jana isn’t allowed to contact Amy and this has really started to bother her. She said, “I truly hope to the good Lord above that Jana is happy and thriving and working through whatever she’s experienced, but I have no contact with her. Anyone that lives at home with anyone in the IBLP, you’re under their control, so I don’t know if she’s necessarily allowed to.”

It seems as if Amy will continue to speak out about her famous family and she isn’t hiding anything that she feels. The Duggars have gone through a lot, but they have also covered up a lot too.
