Duggar Family news reveals that, according to The Sun, the rebellious Duggar, who is cousin to the 19 Duggar kids opened up recently opened up about the downside to television notoriety. In a clip she shared on TikTok Thursday, Amy Duggar looked reflective gazing out of a car window.
The caption of the video revealed the reason for her pensive look. “Realizing you can’t please everyone even when you have kind and genuine intentions,” the 36-year-old Counting On veteran began.
“I’ll always be compared to other family members. I’ll always be attacked just because of my maiden name and there’s nothing I can do to change that.
“These are the lows of being a part of reality TV,” she said, concluding with a message directed to her supporters, saying, “for those that do support and see my heart, thank you.”
Amy, who has a TikTok following of almost 110k previously used the platform to slam the Duggars. In fact, her TikTok bio is a slight against the family. It reads: “The ‘crazy’ Duggar cousin turned out to be … normal.”
Amy has specifically gone after Anna Duggar for standing by her husband Josh Duggar, who’s now serving 12 years in federal prison for receiving and possessing child pornography. In one TikTok rant from May 2022, Amy says, “[Josh] deserves to be locked up. He deserves to be away from your kids, and you deserve better.”
Amy has distanced herself from the rest of the Duggar family in the wake of Josh’s scandal and no longer communicates with her cousins. The TLC personality revealed in an interview with The Sun last year that, “[The Duggar family] always seemed perfect and they’re not and they’re hiding things.
“That’s not something I want to be a part of. That’s not healthy. That’s not anything I need to be known for or around.”
In the interview with The Sun that reality TV star said, “I was extremely known as the black sheep. They would never say black sheep, but I was like the wild cousin.” She added that even though her style and interests made her a “normal, regular person,” she was still cast as a “bad, wild” girl among those of her fundamentalist Christian family.
