90 Day The Last Resort: Big Ed Brown & Liz Woods Dish On Their Relationship

90 Day: The Last Resort premieres on Monday, August 14, 2023, with some familiar faces spending time together.

Among the cast is Big Ed Brown and his fiancée Liz Woods who will face therapists during their stay.

Before it airs, the TLC reality stars have opened up on their rocky relationship and why they keep getting back together.

Fans last saw Ed and Liz in the Tell-All episode of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? At that stage, it looked like their relationship was over, as they broke off their engagement on camera.

At that time, Liz found out that Ed was still in touch with his former fiancée, Rose Vega, and had lied about him.

Due to this, she announced that she was “done” with him for the umpteenth time. However, strangely, they are still together.

It was recently announced that the TLC reality couple was giving their relationship another go, as they will star in 90 Day: The Last Resort.

This new spinoff will see several iconic 90 Day Fiancé couples working on their relationship issues with professional help.

While fans wonder why on earth Liz and Ed keep going back to each other, Woods has opened up with the reason. It turns out, she keeps returning to Ed due to his sweet nature off-camera.

Why do Big Ed and Liz keep going back to each other?

Speaking with ET, Liz looked back on their relationship, saying:

When I first met Ed, we actually didn’t really get along, but then during the pandemic when we met at the restaurant, our restaurant was just re-opening. And he didn’t want to go home and then I was getting out of a very bad relationship.

Liz explained that they would kind of hang out and talk for around half an hour after work each day.

This was how she got to know him, saying, “Not Big Ed – I got to know Ed, his heart, how he is. And that’s a side that people don’t get to see.”

The 90 Day Fiancé star explained how she learned about Ed and his family off-camera, most especially how he was with his own daughter.

This came at a time when she and her daughter spent so much time together during the pandemic.

 “Over time, he would just bring her, like, little toys and stickers,” Liz said. “So that was when I kind of saw a different side to him.

So we became friends and I just got to know his heart. Then when we started dating, he always made sure I was eating, and he always made sure I had my coffee.

I’d get off of work and he had my bubble bath run every night, or, he, like, massaged my feet.”

Woods did acknowledge how rocky their relationship has been so far, but that she keeps returning to him due to the side of Ed she knows so well.

“I know Ed,” she told ET. “And I mean, it’s been pretty rocky. But I also get to see, like, how his heart is. And it’s not always just negative.”

Big Ed praises Liz for her support

Meanwhile, Ed explained that Liz’s support has been incredible and that she never really gave up on their relationship.

In fact, he said he has never dated anyone for so long before and didn’t know how to be a good partner.

However, once he started therapy, he realized one important thing. Brown said he needed to focus on his own happiness to make Liz happy, saying:

If you’re not happy within yourself – which I haven’t been for a while – you can’t make the other person happy.
