90 Day Fiancé Teaser: Isabel On Finding Out Gabriel Is Transgender

The latest season of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way has begun with fans gradually learning about the latest, new TLC reality stars. Among them are Isabel Posada and Gabriel “Gabe” Paboga, who are an interesting pair due to the fact that Gabe is a transgender male.  In a teaser for Sunday’s episode, Isabel recalls how surprised she was when she first found out he is a transgender male.

In a teaser for Sunday’s upcoming episode of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other way, Isabel opens up about her first meeting with Gabe. However, she also revealed how she felt at the moment she realized he was transgender.

Talking to the cameras, Isabel admitted she had found out by chance while swiping through Gabe’s Instagram page less than a day prior to their first meeting. She admits she was surprised, as his physical features portray him as male, leaving little room for doubt. She said in Spanish:

I began to see photos of his surgery. I began seeing that he was a trans guy. That was a big surprise for me. I would have never noticed because Gabe just looks like a man.

Meanwhile, the TLC reality star said she had not noticed any feminine traits when they met in person, including his build and his voice. This fact left Isabel with many questions, but she finally found out for sure when Gabe came out to her by text message, telling her he is transgender.

The 90 Day Fiancé star explained, “I felt a lot of things. It was mostly my fear because never in my life did I think that I was going to like a trans guy.”

However, as Isabel had already developed an instant connection with Gabe, she texted him back, supporting his choices. In fact, she said she knew within herself that she still wanted to keep talking to him.

What about Isabel’s family?

Isabel’s teenage daughter has accepted Gabe since it was revealed he is a transgender male. On the show, she said, “At first, I couldn’t believe it, but then after, I think I didn’t care.” Meanwhile, she is clearly very supportive of her mom and was comfortable about it if her mom was.

Now, Gabe has one more hurdle to cross in telling Isabel’s parents he is a transgender man.
