Nicole stepped foot on the TLC show when she met the love of her life, Mahmoud, during one of her spiritual tours in Egypt.

When they got to know each other on that day, Mahmoud immediately asked the woman to marry him. Three weeks after their first meeting, Nicole returned to Egypt to tie the knot with Mahmoud.

Despite her big day, the TLC star refused to tell her family and friends know about her plans. However, their marriage was tested when they started to fight about their cultural differences.

The couple was previously had an intense fight onscreen, leading Nicole to hope about returning to the United States.

As the couple began to patch things up, Ahmed approached his sister-in-law and stated his gladness for having her as part of their family.

On the other hand, Nicole found it “meaningful” as she expressed her thoughts about Ahmed’s uplifting words. “It feels like I really had an ally,” she uttered. Moreover, the TLC star decided to stay in Egypt and tried to fix her relationship with Mahmoud.

Recently, the couple went into a rough patch again when Nicole suggested leaving Egypt. She once approached her sister-in-law that she had applied for her husband’s spousal visa.

On the other hand, Mahmoud started to question how strong their love is, since they both did their best to live a good life in his home country.

Moreover, he’s not sure if the people in the United States would accept his culture and religious practices. Though he still didn’t give out his final answer to Nicole, the Egyptian native expressed his thoughts about his wife’s incapability to make important decisions. “This makes me so confused because every time you decide something, you change your mind. Maybe you change your mind about me one day, too,” he stated.
