Mike Berk made his way to the TLC show when he was romantically linked to Ximena Morales since they met online when the Colombian star worked as a cam girl. The two seemed head over heels in love with each other, especially when Mike flew to Colombia to personally meet the love of his life. When he knew about Ximena’s financial struggles, he offered to pay her rent and other expenses.
The problem arose when Ximena got cold with Mike the second time he stepped foot in Colombia, and this led fans to think that the mother-of-two was just using the New York resident for money. It was also reported that Ximena got an affair with someone else as she was still with Mike when she accidentally posted a now-deleted video on TikTok with a mystery man.
Last year, the New York native revealed his relationship status in a video clip, showing his short vacation in Florida. “Excellent places, the most amazing tour guide (my queen), we had so much fun! Thank you again!” Mike wrote in the caption. His followers were curious who the woman he hailed as his “queen,” but in his video, he included a photo of himself embracing a brunette woman in the airport lobby.
The annoyed TLC fans stated that Mike might pay somebody to be with him or the woman might be one of his fans who wanted fame for a short time. However, despite his multiple haters online, the 34-year-old star still got supporters who expressed their gladness for his newfound romance.
In a social media post, Mike’s sister-in-law, Cassandria, revealed that the TLC star will be joining the show in the sixth season. “Yes, he was on the show for season five and they will be on for season six, but it’s just not necessary anymore…” she wrote. An avid viewer took a screenshot of the comment and brought it on Reddit. TLC fans then expressed their disgust for Mike and the network in the comment section.
One fan said, “If they put Mike on after canceling Alina mid-season, that’s disgusting!” A Reddit user wrote, “Racist and unhygienic man child. Gross. If that’s true, once again, TLC is showing it’s ok to be a POS clown.” Another one chimed in, “Definitely not watching if Berkowitz is back on it. No way, no how. Can’t stand that little troll of a man.”
