90 Day Fiancé Star Daniele Gates’ Son Shades Her In Stand-Up Comedy Video

A stand-up comedy video has resurfaced where Daniele’s son, Thomas Vaethroeder, says she loves Dominicans.

90 Day Fiancé fans might not know that she has a 21-year-old son, Thomas Vaethroeder, an actor and stand-up comedian living in New York. Recently, a video surfaced of her son performing in New York where he jokes about his mom. Read on to find out more about her life before the TLC reality show.

90 Day Fiancé star Daniele Gates hasn’t had an easy life

Daniele Gates starred in season 4 of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way, where she moved to the Dominican Republic to marry Yohan Geronimo. At the time, she had taken a sabbatical from her teaching and wellness coach job for the move, which turned out to be a mistake.

Daniele hasn’t had the easiest life as she gave birth to her son Thomas when she was 21. She then wed for the first time at 26, only to leave after six months. Now, the TLC reality star’s marriage with Yohan also failed after they broke up on the Tell-All. Now, 90 Day Fiancé fans are waiting for confirmation of Yohan and Daniele’s break-up, after the lease on their house in La Romana is up.

Daniele’s son shades his mom in stand-up comedy show

Meanwhile, Starcasm uncovered details about Daniele’s life away from 90 Day Fiancé. This included a video of her son, Thomas, doing stand-up at the Broadway Comedy Club in August 2022. During his act, he joked about his mom and her time on 90 Day Fiancé.

About halfway through the session, Thomas asks his audience, “You guys know that show 90 Day Fiancé?” before revealing, “My mom is on this show right now!” He went on to explain that while she was on vacation and minding her own business, a “Dominican jumped out of a bush! And the rest is history.”

“I know that my mom loves Dominicans. That was not a shock to me. I knew that from experience,” Thomas said before giving more juicy details about his mom’s past before the TLC reality show. He explained that he grew up with a lot of Dominicans and that Daniele was with a Dominican man “for a while.” In fact, he said the man raised him for a couple of years.

Now Thomas is 21 and working as an actor and stand-up comedian in New York. Moreover, he was cast in the lead of a FOX comedy pilot, Prodigy/Bully in March 2012.

90 Day Fiancé star Daniele kept her life private

While many fans don’t realize Daniele has a twenty-one-year-old son, she did make mention of Thomas on the show. In fact, in her introduction on 90 Day Fiancé: Love in Paradise, she explained that she was a single mom. After this, she started to date men she considered would be a good father to Thomas, but this didn’t work out. In fact, she went through a series of bad relationships before she decided to take a break from dating. It was after she took a five-year break that she met Yohan.

At that stage, her son was a young adult, living his “own life,” which gave her the freedom to consider a new marriage. In fact, she married Yohan pretty quickly, because she wanted them to have a baby and her biological clock was running down. Daniele later revealed that she was unable to get pregnant due to her age and the risk of a miscarriage. While Yohan wanted them to have a baby, it looks like that will never happen.
