90 Day Fiancé: Meisha’s Meeting With Nicola’s Family Turns Out Surprising

In Sunday’s episode of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days, Meisha wonders if Nicola was “ashamed” to be honest with his family about her.

Meanwhile, she added that if this is so, this is going to be a huge problem. Meanwhile, Meisha’s introduction to Nicola’s family had an unexpected twist.

In fact, the experience was just plain awkward in some respects, as she noticed he was having problems sharing their plans to get engaged.

90 Day Fiancé’s Meisha on meeting Nicola’s family

In a confessional, Meisha explained that she has no idea what is happening with Nicola right now, adding:

I’m sitting here in this room and feeling so incredibly uncomfortable. We’re supposed to be having this big reveal to his family about who I am and our plans for the future and all of a sudden Nicola is completely chickening out.

Meanwhile, she noted that Nicola was sitting far away from her on the couch and was “displaying absolutely no emotion towards me.”

Meisha asked if he is ashamed to tell his family that she is his girlfriend, adding, “Because if so, this is going to be a huge problem.”

Moreover, during the meeting, Nicola’s brothers Andy and Mickey asked how they met, but he stayed quiet. This prompted Meisha to “just tell them.”

As Nicola told them how he and Meisha met online, his brothers showed surprise that their relationship was romantic.

In fact, Andy said he had not spoken of her in the six years they were in the online relationship.

Nicola’s mother Nadia reacts positively

While Nicola had initially feared about his mother’s reactions to Meisha, it turns out she is “happy” and thrilled to hear their marriage plans.

In fact, when Andy said Nicole and Meisha were moving to America, never to return, Nadia wished him a “great life,” saying she could always visit them.

Speaking to the cameras, Nicola said, “When my mom hears that I want to propose to Meisha, [I] think she felt emotional and started to cry because it’s her dream in life that [I] will get married,”  adding that he feels very happy.

Even when Nicola told Nadia about Meisha’s previous marriage and her two daughters, he was surprised at how well his mother took this.

“So what?” Nadia asked, mentioning how she has often urged Nicola to get married over the years.

In a confessional, Nadia told the cameras, “He chose his life now, and I am happy that he will marry before I die,” adding:

He’s old, not young. You can’t judge if she’s been married or has kids.

Meanwhile, Mickey said he thought that Nicola had kept their relationship a secret because of how they would react to Meisha’s past.

“I think Nicola didn’t tell us about Meisha, maybe because she is divorced. She has kids,” he said, adding, “Maybe I think he’s scared that his image of a religious person will [change and is scared] that we can look at him in a different way.”

Meanwhile, Mickey reassured Nicola and Meisha, telling them there are not here to judge anyone.

However, he added, “I think that you need to be more open with your life. I think that if you have a treasure like this,

I think that you need to be more open to your brothers. We only wish the best for you. We hope that you will be part of our family.”

Meisha’s surprise over meeting Nicola’s family

Meisha did admit that she had doubts about meeting Nicola’s family. However, the 90 Day Fiancé star’s doubts were unfounded.

“None of the things that I’ve heard Nicola saying that would be the big hurdles to cross with his family seemed to be hurdles to them,” she told the cameras, adding:

They were more than accepting. So there just seems to be like we’re on two different planets at this point, and it’s making me really wonder why I had to fight so hard to make this moment happen in the first place.

However, it has made Meisha wonder if it is Nicola who has the problem with her, adding, “And if Nicola cannot accept me for who I am, how can we get married?”
