‘90 Day Fiancé’: Did Michael Ilesanmi Finally Make It To The U.S.?

TLC introduced the couple Michael Ilesanmi and Angela Deem on 90 Day Fiancé: Before The 90 Days Season 2. However, fans quickly realized that their relationship was destined for an inevitable doom. On paper, the couple is still together, but the events that have happened over the year tell a different tale.

Moreover, given the long-distance relationship, things haven’t been going well, and Angela even claimed that Michael cheated on her. But, news of Michael being with Angela in the United States has been doing the rounds. So, did Michael finally make it to the U.S.? Was his visa finally approved? Keep reading to find out the details!

‘90 Day Fiancé’ Spoilers – Michael Ilesanmi Visa Was Initially Denied!

Back in 2020, when Michael applied for a K-1 visa to be with his wife, his application was denied. An expert revealed that visa approval requires an assessment of criminal records and the past history of both the husband and the wife. While it is unclear if Michael has any criminal record, it is a known fact that Angela does. The reality star has a DUI, which isn’t enough for the authorities to reject their application.

However, Angela Deem is a repeat offender, and her second DUI arrest was in 2018, followed by a conviction and probation lasting several years.

Moreover, Michael Ilesanmi is from Nigeria, which stands at the 13th position in terms of K-1 visa approvals. For every 7000 visas approved in the Philippines, only 725 K-1 visas are approved in Nigeria, which is a very low approval rate. Moreover, Angela Deem is from Georgia, which is a Southern state in the United States that has an ever lower K-1 acceptance rate as compared to regions such as Hawaii, Alaska, and D.C.

‘90 Day Fiancé’ Spoilers – The Visa Authorities Have Many Rules

The visa authorities also consider fraud warnings such as email fraud, phishing, or similar criminal activities which is the highest in Nigeria. So, even with no criminal record, it can be difficult for Michael to be approved for a K-1 visa. And their age difference only adds to the perception that their relationship is a fraudulent one.

Rumors of Michael being in the United States with Angela surfaced after the former posted a confusing and strange video on Instagram that comprised a slideshow of several romantic pictures. Although the video does confirm that they are still together, it doesn’t necessarily confirm that Michael is in the United States.

So, do you think Michael’s K-1 visa was finally approved? Share your thoughts in the comments!
