90 Day Fiancé Alum Paul Staehle Denies Rumors He Went Missing

When it comes to 90 Day Fiancé and reality TV in general, rumors swirl quickly on social media, causing fans to be concerned.

This was the case with former TLC star Paul Staehle, who was reported missing by his estranged wife, Karine, and his mother, Edna.

While everyone believed that Paul was lost in the Brazilian jungle, he has now opened up about the story and explained that he was never actually missing.

After rumors swirled for a while that 90 Day Fiancé alum Paul Staehler was missing somewhere in Brazil, he has finally revealed the truth.

Talking to TMZ on Thursday, September 7, Paul said, “Well, I had a lot going on and I wanted to go out and be by myself for a little bit.” He went on to add:

So there was a person that was a big fan of the show. They invited me to go out and I got this canoe type boat.

However, on the way to where they were going, he and the fan got into an undisclosed “hiccup” but sorted out the situation and went to a “floating house” and stayed there a couple of days.

Paul added that he didn’t have a phone charger and had to go to a few more houses to finally get a signal. Staehler then added:

I had no idea that my mom would start talking to people online and all that stuff.

Paul’s mom Edna reports him missing

It was on September 1 that Staehle’s mom, Edna, shared that she was worried over Paul due to “alarming texts” he had sent her.

She said she responded to the texts but heard no more from her son. Meanwhile, Karine had also shared on Instagram that Paul was missing and even hinted that he may be dead.

More than a year ago, Paul and his eldest son, Pierre, 4, whom he shares with Karine Martins, were reported missing by Child Protective Services.

The couple also shares another son, Ethan, 2.

At the time, he told TMS that he took Pierre on a long work trip but that both of them were safe. He also said that he had sole custody of both his children.

As 90 Day Fiancé fans know, Staehle and Martins had a rocky relationship both on the show and in real life.

At one stage, they lost both children due to a video clip showing Karine assaulting Paul. While they are no longer together, Paul still lives and works in Brazil.
