Y&R Underutilized Chloe, Elena, & The Woman In The Green Dress

The Underutilized ladies of The Young & the Restless (Y&R) … Chloe Mitchell, Elena Dawson, & Crystal ~ better known as The Woman in the Green Dress. All three of these women are both beautiful & intelligent… & continue to be underutilized on Y&R.

Chloe Mitchell: Beauty, Tenure, & Resilience on Y&R… & Lately One of the Underutilized Ladies on Y&R

The most senior of these underutilized Y&R ladies is Chloe Mitchell. This is as of late…

When Chloe Mitchell returned to Genoa City a grown woman back in 2008, played by Elizabeth Hendrickson & still is, was quite involved with the Genoa City elites.

Then she was most known for breaking up with Cane & Lily meanwhile claiming she was pregnant with Cane’s child. Her child was actually fathered by Billy Abbott.

Chloe & Billy’s little girl Delia was a delight, but not for long. She was killed by a hit-&-run driver (Adam Newman). Chloe’s extreme spin-out of emotions coping with Delia’s loss caused her to leave Genoa City to get help, etc. As of late, Chloe’s interactions with the other Genoa City residents have been very chill in comparison to her past.

While Y&R fans are pleased that Chloe got the help that she needed to process & live with the loss of Delia, fans also know she’s still a spunky & beautiful woman that has more to bring to Genoa City.

Recently there were Y&R fans who thought Chloe might spice things up with another man in town & that man was Adam Newman.

When Chelsea Lawson was off helping her mom in Minnesota after an injury, Adam hired Chloe on at Newman Media to run the fashion platform & to bring on Chelsea once she returned to Genoa City.
Chloe & Adam Hooking Up… A Missed Opportunity?!?

There seemed to be few sparks. What if Chloe & the man that killed her daughter & also happens to be the love of her best friend’s life got down while still married to Kevin? There would have been SO much to unpack if Chloe & Adam became intimate… but those sparks were never lit.

Currently, The Young and The Restless Chloe is happily married to Kevin with their two children. She’s working with Chelsea for Lauren Fenmore to bring never seen before fashion & style to Fenmore’s.

Y&R fans are looking forward to this as the one-sleeve-only dress trend has seemed to run its course.
The Always Elegant… Elena Dawson | Another Underutilized Lady on Y&R

Elena Dawson… Always Elegant & Sweet, But Another Underutilized Lady On The Young & The Restless.

It worked out for Y&R fans that while soap-opera-social-distancing was still in place that Brytni Sarpi who plays Elena Dawson was dating Bryton James who plays Devon Hamilton were dating during that time.

Being that Brytni & Bryton were dating (& are now married) they were able to forego soap-opera-social-distancing on-site. Ergo, Elena & Devon were an item. This was the most intimacy Y&R fans would see since the legacy episodes playing during the lockdown.

That was until she & Nate caved into intimacy after spending long hours workiNow that soap-opera-social-distancing has expired (thank God), we still don’t see much of Nate & Elena being intimate… Not even on their living room couch like we do from other couples in Genoa City. The intimacy may be coming soon with Nate recently reacquiring the penthouse across the hall from Devon, Elena’s ex-boyfriend.

Will Elegant Elena Continue To Support Nate In The Background, Or Will She Wander Across The Hall?

TBD whether Elena will be intimate on the couch in her & Nate’s new place with just Nate… Or, if she & Devon end up “re-connecting.”

Most of Elena’s time in Genoa City since breaking up with Devon has been providing support to Nate throughout his recent career exploration & his impromptu friendship with Ashland Locke.

Nate’s impromptu friendship with Ashland led him to a best-man role when Ashland married Victoria in Tuscany. Since the start & throughout their friendship, Nate has been providing support & guidance during Ashland’s (apparent, fake) cancer treatment.

Elena & Nate were such a calming presence for Victoria & Ashland along with their family & guests in Tuscany. No drama… Simply calming, supportive, & no doubt a stunning couple.

It seems Elena will continue to be supportive of Nate & they will continue to be one of the hottest couples in Genoa City. That is unless she or Devon make their way across the hall & they “re-connect”.

Crystal, Otherwise Known as The Woman in the Green Dress, Played by Krystal | Another One of the Underutilized Ladies on Y&R

By far the most underutilized lady in Genoa City is The Woman in the Green Dress, or Crystal played by Krystal Mosley. Like Sharon Gonzales played by Sharon Case, Crystal is played by Krystal.

For the longest time after arriving in Genoa City & being an employee at The Grand Phoenix Crystal did not have any lines, let alone a name. She was simply known as The Woman in the Green Dress.

Finally, Crystal got some lines. Y&R fans first heard Crystal speaking to her boss/owner of the Grand Phoenix, Phyllis Summers. Then, of all people, she had a short conversation with Ashland Locke. Before you know she is assisting Billy Boy Abbott in unknowingly breaking into the Newman Media suite at the Grand Phoenix during the Newman Media Launch Party.

For a minute it looked like Crystal would for sure have even more lines & possibly a promotion. When Phyllis went to Milan to interview with Marchetti & to see Summer & her family, Crystal was put in charge. Not so much…
While Phyllis did not take the job at Marchetti & has decided to stay in Genoa City & continue to run the Grand Phoenix, she’s left town twice to support Jack in L.A. We haven’t seen any more of Crystal than usual.

Ongoing Missed Opportunities for The Woman in the Green Dress

There are so many missed opportunities with Crystal.

Ongoing… Why can’t she have a love interest? Perhaps a current Genoa City resident, or maybe someone new moving into town.

Also, she is the one that checked Chelsea Lawson into the hotel when Phyllis was in Milan. There has not been any drama whatsoever at the Grand Phoenix that has anything to do with Chelsea. Chelsea hasn’t even run into Adam & Sally on the way to or from one of their intimate rendezvous in the still reserved Newman Media suite at the hotel.

Perhaps Crystal’s time is coming. Diane Jenkins is not only back from the dead but she’s back in Genoa City & has checked into the Grand Phoenix. Will Crystal be coursed by her boss to mess with enemy Diane Jenkins?… &/or, will she finally end up with a love interest?

Perhaps The Woman in the Green Dress can be set up with The Man in the Purple Shirt who bartends at Society.
