During the week of October 31, Billy makes a desperate rescue when a despondent Chelsea bolts out of the glam club after a talk with Adam Newman (Mark Grossman). Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will think Billy’s making too big a deal of it but he rushes out anyway and finds Chelsea on the roof and wrestles her off the ledge. Billy’s rescue maneuvers will cause friction between him and Lily, even though she tries to sound compassionate.
Billy might try to force Chelsea into therapy with Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) and continue to allow her to lean on him in the meanwhile. Lily will think Billy needs to back off and leave Chelsea’s issues to someone more appropriate and worry about Billy and Chelsea’s inappropriate bonding, which she views as a threat.
Meanwhile, Lily’s brother, Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) will continue to have issues with their cousin Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) who’ll accept Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) job offer. Devon will spot the two having a celebratory drink at Society, and figure out that she is the CEO who was working with Nate to score a hostile takeover. As for the Chancellors, Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) will have issues with Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) when she spot him hanging out at Crimson Lights. He’d told her he had a stakeout to handle but then went by the coffeehouse instead of coming home, and he’ll mislead her about the whole situation. That will cause a big blowup between Abby and Chance which could drive her to lean on Devon a little too much and the two could bond too closely and inappropriately.
Ashley plays undercover lover with Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) and misleads him as well, to try to get some inside info on Diane Jenkins’ (Susan Walters) time in Los Angeles. She’ll play up to him like she’s realized she still loves him but he’ll be skeptical, especially with all the questions about Diane. There may be some subconscious truth to that since she seems to be still vulnerable to him in some ways.
She’ll wind up putting Tucker on a type of relational probation, challenging him to prove he’s really a changed man like he claims. Tucker will come up with a plan to do exactly that, which may prove problematic for Ashley down the line.
Back to Nate and all his relationship problems, Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) returns from Baltimore and informs him she decided not to take the job and move away. She is allowing him one more chance to prove he’s really the man she thought he was, similarly to Ashley’s probation agreement for Tucker. She’ll be put off, however, when she finds out he took the job with Newman Media, since she considers the Newmans nothing but a den of vipers. This may or may not work out for the troubled couple, because Nate cannot return to working in the medical field like she wants.
There will be Newman family drama to spare during the week of October 31 as Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) inserts himself in the middle of Nick Newman’s (Joshua Morrow) on-hold romance. Victor disapproves of either Nick or Adam with Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) especially after what she did to Nick’s own daughter Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier). Victor points out the feud between the rest of the Newmans and Adam can only get worse with a woman in the middle and Nick will tell him to butt out.
Nick will counter he’s plenty old enough to make his own decisions about his personal life, but even though he slowed it down for Sally to be ready, he is. Nick hated having to fire her and Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) but will hold out hope for a future with Sally anyway.
Once Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Summer and Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez) return from Costa Rica, Jack will have some difficult truths to deliver. Sooner or later he’ll have to tell Kyle that his mother wasn’t completely honest about her time in Los Angeles, even though she was under duress at the time. He may, on the other hand, leave it to Diane to tell their son the truth herself, which may be better coming from her. She probably will sugarcoat it but at least she’ll be more honest than before; in the meantime Jack will caution Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) not to make things worse. She’d love to stick it to Diane by getting ahead of her to spill the sordid tea to Kyle and Summer but Jack won’t go for that.
Finally, the week of November 7 will be full of schemes, tough love and plots as Victor schemes against Tucker and Billy gets tough love from his mom. Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) will not react too well to the news that Billy’s leaving Chancellor-Winters because she knows he needs structure. Lily will continue to worry about Chelsea and taking care of her becoming his focus, which falls into meddling into other peoples’ lives.
Phyllis will continue to plot against Diane and try to get the upper hand, with Jeremy Stark’s (James Hyde) impeding parole; she might bring him to Genoa City. As for Nate, he’ll feel cornered and face more complaints about his career decisions and goals, and face major obstacles in his new position at Newman Media.
