The Young And The Restless spoilers indicate that Billy Abbott’s daughter, Delia Abbott’s (Sophie Pollono), mention has raised some questions. Some fans have no idea who Delia was or what happened to her. Why is Delia being brought up after all these years?

The Young and The Restless spoilers reveal that Cordelia Katherine Valentine Abbott was born on February 14, 2006. Delia’s parents were Billy and Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson). Chloe originally claimed that Cane Ashby (Daniel Goddard) was Delia’s father. Billy helped deliver his daughter along with Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) and Cane.

Although Billy was Delia’s father, Cane signed Delia’s birth certificate after Billy learned the truth. Cane even fought to keep custody of Delia. Billy married Chloe to help their situation and Cane finally dropped his case. Delia’s middle names honor Katherine Chancellor and her grandma Esther Valentine (Kate Linder). Unfortunately, Delia met a tragic end.

Billy claimed his daughter, however, he never changed his wandering ways. Billy didn’t marry Chloe out of love and certainly didn’t stay faithful to her. After Chloe and Billy got custody of Delia he turned back to cheating and gambling. Delia was kidnapped by her nanny during this time. Afterward, Delia was diagnosed with leukemia and received a bone marrow transplant that saved her life.

Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) played a huge part in saving Delia’s life. Victor had to find Billy so that he could give his daughter the bone marrow she needed. After Delia recovered, Chloe chose to marry Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart). Billy Abbott married Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle). Delia was tragically killed afterward when she was struck by a car and died from internal injuries. Billy, again, spiraled after this.

Billy spent the next ten years trying to exact revenge on Adam Newman (Mark Grossman). However, Billy is just as much to blame for his daughter’s death. Billy left Delia and her puppy unattended in a vehicle while he went into the store. The puppy needed to use the bathroom and Delia got out to allow it to do so.

Both Delia and the puppy ran out in front of Adam but he failed to see Delia. Later, Adam chose to cover up the evidence instead of coming clean about his part in Delia’s death. Delia died on October 14, 2013, and Billy has still not forgiven Adam. The fact that Adam’s son, Connor Newman, received Delia’s corneas to save his sight did not help matters at all.

As long as Billy still blames Adam for Delia’s death, her story will never die.
