Yes, Victoria Newman Locke (Amelia Heinle) gave up the CEO position at Newman Enterprises she worked so hard for since her mail room days with no college degree. That doesn’t mean she is out of the business game. She just wants to go it on her own again — or at least semi on her own because she needs her lying husband Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) along for the ride.

As they get away from it all in New York City, Victoria tells Ashland there is no way she ever wants to work for her family again, but she does want to hurt Newman in some form so she decides she will become their media competition as she starts her very own media company. After all, Newman Media was all her doing so she figures she has some experience here. Of course, Ashland is all in because he really seems to love Victoria and also loves sticking it to her family.

She doesn’t even care that her hated brother, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman), has her CEO position. She is onto bigger and better things in her own mind.

Y&R Spoilers – Victoria Newman Warns Her Brother

One would think that Victoria is being kind when she calls Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) just to chat and mentions she is doing a lot of business in New York, but she just wants him to know for her own ego.

“She’s leaving breadcrumbs because she figures what she tells Nick will get back to Victor,” Head Writer Josh Griffith told the June 28, 2022, issue of Soap Opera Digest. This is her way of letting her dad know that this is her last sort of push away…Let’s just say she’s as good a chess player as her father and she’s already looking 10 moves down the board.”
