The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) appears to be on the verge of collapse. No, his health is fine, as the Lockeness Monster proclaimed after returning from Peru.
Victoria Newman Locke (Amelia Heinle), by all accounts, is not in on whatever game Ashland is playing. Viewers saw the notorious LM talk to someone on his smartphone at Society, with the gist of the conversation being that the plan is still in effect.
Okay, what is this plan?
The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Freeze-Out Worse Than Death?
Ashland stated that he had terminal cancer months ago. Buzz indicates that he has lied, in some form, about this issue.
Preciseness could be key in this regard, as Ashland may have had cancer and recovered from it months ago without telling Victoria. Alternatively, he may be in remission and learned that in the recent past also not tell Heinle’s character the whole story for whatever his reasons.
However, if he outright lied about ever having this disease, then Victoria’s freeze-out response could prove worse than death. She brandishes the Ice Princess moniker, as devoted viewers know.
Y&R Spoilers – Assuming The Worst, With Fallout
Assuming the worst possible is not a stretch. Ashland is the guy who admitted to stealing his friend’s identity while the real Ashland was dying after both people were in a tragic car accident.
Ashland also admitted stealing his mentor’s inheritance and then using that to create Locke Communications. So, Victoria could not claim innocence about her husband’s backstory.
But Victoria will have a problem if she does learn that he has promoted what would be a heinous lie. Divorce can be quickly handled through an attorney. But would Michael Baldwin (Christian Le Blanc) also be able to slice Ashland from Newman-Locke so easily?
The Young and the Restless Spoilers – Victoria Newman Locke The One To Go
If Ashland can not be forced out of the merged company, would Victoria be able to stand his presence? Maybe, but Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) might think it best that someone else run the show during a period of unrest.
Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) is an option. But a better one, temporarily, might be the founder himself.
Victor is not retired. His recent move, in selling Newman Media to Victoria, also gives him greater access to the corporation’s day-to-day affairs. Plus, Victor hired Michael for more than one reason, with arriving corporate fights surely anticipated.
