Billy has it in for Adam Newman (Mark Grossman), Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), and Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi). Thompson’s character gave Victoria a pass after learning that she knew about Newman Media’s plan to trap him.

The feelings that Billy has for Victoria run very deep. She is Katie Abbott’s (Sienna Mercuri) mother and Johnny Abbott’s (Holden and Ryan Hare) adoptive mother. Lily is also the person Billy is relying on to help him restore his reputation.

Victoria tells Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) that she is in charge early in the new year. Khalil’s character fears for Billy, believing that Victoria is choosing to remain silent for now.

Billy wants to trade Victoria’s awareness of his ruse and her willingness to be silent as a proposed win-win. He will pursue legal action against Newman Media, assuming that Adam publishing what would be a false story about Billy reverting to form.

Heinle’s character would theoretically stand to gain the ability to buy a depressed Newman Media entity and then teach Adam and her father a lesson by installing Billy as head of the company.

Just as Victoria uncovered Billy’s play-acting, so too could Adam or Victor learn that truth. If either man does, then the game is over.

Alternatively, Newman Media could choose not to publish the hit-piece about Billy. Victoria senses that Adam is not interested. But Ashland could be coerced by her into egging Adam on, as Victoria told her husband what she learned about Billy.

But even if Ashland plays along, Newman Media publicly excoriates Billy, and he sues them there is no guarantee that Victor would agree to sell the company to Victoria. She is assuming that while also concluding Billy can be controlled.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Lily Winters Unwavering Support Is Crucial

Billy could collapse if, for whatever reason, Lily ends her relationship with him or even takes a break from their pairing. He has replaced Victoria with Lily as the rock he leans on.

Devoted fans know that Victoria propped Billy up for years and rescued him after numerous falls. Lily handles that lead role, while Billy assumes Victoria will play along for business and Newman family vengeance purposes.

An end to the Billy-Lily connection could shift the target from Adam and Victor to Victoria. The head of Newman-Locke would not anticipate that.

Billy is a dangerous partner. Victoria’s new marriage and business position make her over-confident and remind viewers of her father.
