The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Wednesday, August 24, 2022, reveal Victor Newman once again playing defense because he always seems to be doing something wrong — but not in his mind, at least.
The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Adam Newman Vs. Victor Newman
Just because Chance Chancellor (Connor Floyd) decided he is going to drop the investigation into what really happened to Ashland Locke (Robert Newman), it doesn’t mean it’s all over for The Great Victor Newman (Eric Braeden). The law might not be after him but he has other enemies who would love to see him in jail and one such enemy is his own son, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman).
Adam and Victor have both ended up behind bars at the same time before and if they are not careful, it will happen again. Victor defends himself to Adam and gives him a few more warnings about betraying the family, but it’s Adam who feels truly betrayed.
Every time he thinks he has made inroads with his father and siblings, the other shoe drops, and his life is ruined once again. Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) certainly pulled a number on him that even made him lose his girlfriend, although Adam should take some responsibility for that too.
So, Adam is not very happy the investigation was dropped and still wants any information Chance had to go public. To that end, he manipulates Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart) into doing some data work and Adam gets the upper hand in their little battle of wits.
Y&R Spoilers – Nick Newman Finally Feels Happy
So what if he punched a man, leading to that man’s death? Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) is finally feeling right about the world now that he has another nepotism job with Newman Enterprises. New Hope just wasn’t cutting it for him anymore, so he needed another direction in life, which puts Nick exactly where he said he never wanted to be — working for this father.
This means Nick is ready to celebrate and move on, but who will he celebrate with? Could it be his forever confidante Sharon Collins (Sharon Case), who is also the love of his life? Or will this show still ignore that they are endgame and delay their inevitable reunion some more? Stay tuned to The Young and the Restless weekdays to see how these stories play out.
