Y&R Spoilers: Victor And Victoria Share Responsibility – Ashland’s Fate Avoidable

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers document that Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) was wronged by Ashland Locke (Robert Newman). But two wrongs do not make a right, as she and her father believe.

Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) believes in vengeance as devoted fans know. But he has never seemed to grasp that the pursuit of payback has produced needless trouble.

It is plausible to believe that Ashland was either going to leave town, or whatever payback he intended would have been much less that what he employed. Ashland’s death can not be confirmed due to his missing body. Whether he survived the fall into Victoria’s fireplace will be revealed in the future. For now, Victor and Victoria share blame for provoking him.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Baiting And Then Switching

Victoria moved to New York with Ashland. She had a plan in mind, which was to bait him into freely giving the remaining half of his five-hundred million to her.

She had not forgiven Ashland for duping her. The humiliation and cruelty of the cancer ruse he injected into her life and that of her family, was detestable.

So, being her father’s daughter, Victoria decided to play games. Rather than annul the marriage and move on with her life, Heine’s character sought Moustache-like revenge.

Y&R Spoilers – Was It Worth It, Newman Family?

The Newmans are a cold-hearted group. They have chips on their shoulders ten miles high and a pronounced feeling of being right on any topic where a real, or perceived enemy stands in conflict.

Yes, Ashland deserved legal punishment for what he did. But Victor and Victoria did not pursue legal or civil justice. Instead, they took the law into their own hands.

Believing that Ashland would not respond with ferocity was a deep miscalculation that Victoria and her father made. Foresight into personal matters is not either person’s strength, as many instances of strife have demonstrated.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Ashland Locke Returns From The Dead

It would seem hard to imagine that Ashland’s body disappears because he is dead. That type of climax to this particular story line projects as unsatisfying.

So, viewers will wait for the likely inevitable return of the Lockeness monster. One would assume this comes after Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Victoria face legal consequences.

Ashland’s fate was avoidable. While he is the villain and is responsible for what went awry, Victor and his beloved firstborn, Victoria, will be forced to deal with the consequences of their actions.
