Y&R Spoilers: Tucker’s Plans Altered – Diane Survives Soul-Purge?

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers document Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) believed he was going to use Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) until she fulfilled her obligation to him. It appears as though Tucker used information about Diane’s connection to a money launderer to blackmail her.

Diane told Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) that she was initially unaware Jeremy Stark (James Hyde) was using her as a mule. He feigned romantic interest in her while she was living under an assumed name, Taylor Jensen, in Los Angeles, California.

Jeremy knew Diane’s backstory and used that against her. According to Diane, Tucker discovered the tie to Jeremy and has been exploiting it to the present day.

Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) is teased to learn about his mother’s dilemma. He will likely react in defense of her. That should bode well for Diane’s future.

Diane ached for Kyle when she was pretending to be dead. The explanation she offered him for leaving Genoa City, Wisconsin, by faking her murder made sense. She was extremely out of sorts at the time, and Kyle understands the position his mother was in.

As long as Diane is not withholding any pertinent details, Kyle should remain a steadfast supporter.

Y&R Spoilers – Tucker McCall Is A Master Manipulator

Tucker wanted to return to GC for reasons that are only somewhat similar to Diane’s. He was forthright in saying that a reconnection with Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) was desired.

However, Tucker has purposely withheld his intention of claiming Chancellor-Winters as his own, with Devon as an equal partner. Devon has not been clued into this effort because Tucker has lived deviously for many years.

At this point in the plot, if fans were placing soapy bets, it would seem more likely that Diane retains her rebuilt relationship with Kyle. Wagering on Tucker is risky because Devon values honesty, and his biological father has not be upfront.

Diane wants to present her side of the story. Jack and Kyle came around after they had time to digest the first shocker that she was alive.

As for this second shoe, Jack feels conflicted, and Kyle feels compelled to take Diane’s side against the predatory Tucker. Yet, Diane’s second voluntary reveal is different than the first because she has had time to tell all and did not.

Diane has come clean because she anticipated the link to Tucker would be exposed. So, this soul-purge could be interpreted as manipulative, depending upon one’s point of view on Y&R.
