Y&R Spoilers: Summer’s Offer, Phyllis Plots To Sabotage Diane

The Young and The Restless spoilers and updates tease in this week’s Soap Opera Digest that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will use her daughter’s job offer against Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters). She’ll use Summer Newman Abbott’s (Allison Lanier) job offer at Marchetti to sabotage Diane.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Unreformable

Previous Y & R episodes revealed that the defeat Diane squad, namely Phyllis, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) and Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) will never believe Diane could be reformed. Their sole goal is to prove she hasn’t been reformed and run her out of town, and team up to step up their efforts. Ashley can’t make it to the meeting but Phyllis and Nikki cook up their own plot.

They need a spy, so to speak, to work inside of Marchetti, where Diane has been given a job, to sabotage her work there. Considering Summer has already offered her mother a job there, they decide it needs to be Phyllis.

Y & R Spoilers – The Plot Cannot Make Marchetti Look Bad

Phyllis tells Nikki that the plot cannot make Marchetti look bad in any way, and decides to take Summer up on her offer. Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) had just offered to buy The Grand Phoenix and Phyllis had turned her down, although Lily hopes she’ll reconsider. Phyllis won’t reconsider, but she can use it for an excuse to take time off from the hotel to take Summer’s job offer.

Lily’s headed out of town with Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) so who will know; Phyllis calls Summer to talk to her about the job offer. Phyllis had previously come close to taking a job at Marchetti before, when Summer and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) were still in Italy.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Suspicions

When Phyllis calls her daughter to talk about her job offer, Summer is naturally suspicious as to why she changed her mind. Summer actually accuses her mother of taking the job so she can hassle Diane, but of course Phyllis denies it. Phyllis convinces Summer that she really does want to work with her, and that part is the truth.

According to The Young and the Restless spoilers, Phyllis does have an ulterior motive, however, as she agreed to as Nikki and she formulated her plot. Being on the inside of Marchetti ensures that Phyllis can access files and databases to sabotage Diane’s work and no one be the wiser.

Phyllis keeps up her ruse of a peace treaty with Diane, and has to double down on it since she proved herself to Kyle and Summer. She did it by protecting Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez) from Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) by calling Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) and Nikki was there.

As a result, Ashland had been arrested for violating the restraining order that Kyle and Summer had taken out against him regarding Harrison. Phyllis acts like a corporate spy and a computer hacker at the same time, having experience in hacking – like the time she hacked Dark Horse for Adam Newman (Mark Grossman). No one will ever know a thing by the time Phyllis gets done.
