Last week Sally told her Newman man du jour Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) all about her troubling childhood. What better reason for her to open up about her parents than to bring one of them to town? What is the possibility that newbie bad guy Jeremy Stark (James Hyde) is Sally’s dad?

Sally told Nick her parents were carnival workers and that they were just as shady as that sounds. These two adults were petty cons and when they were about to be caught out one day, they just abandoned Sally and her younger sister Coco.

Jeremy is a known evil doer. If Sally’s dad was needing to stay one step ahead of the law perhaps he changed his identity and along the way also abandoned his wife?

We know little about Jeremy so why wouldn’t he have a past as a carnie? He’s a money launderer who got Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) caught up in a lavish life of crime, it would be perfect for him to now discover his spawn right under his nose.

Sally certainly has a tainted past herself, as she revealed to Nick. Sally and Jeremy have a lot in common!

Jeremy Stark is in a battle of wills with the Abbotts and there seems to be more to his connection to Diane than he is spilling. So far the character has had good chemistry with everyone he’s run across, including Phyllis Newman (Michelle Stafford) who brought him to town in the first place.

It would be a no-brainer to add this handsome and talented actor to the canvas. What better way than by adding in a daughter who has all kinds of connections, a lot of spice, and not a little shadiness—a chip off the old block so to speak.
