The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers document Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) took the news well. She said she would be okay after learning that Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) was not the reason why she was fired.

Hope’s character mentioned that she understood her position as the Chief Executive Officer at Newman Media was a trial run. She also knew Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) was not a fan from the beginning.

What came of Nick’s tell to Sally was that these characters still like each other. Actually, like is not a strong verb. Instead, the noun, love, could be used.

Sally has been involved in various romantic relationships, crossing back to her years on The Bold and the Beautiful. As Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) referenced to Victoria, since crossing over to Y&R, Sally became involved with Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) before connecting with Nick.

Morrow’s character has not been married in a while, with Sage Newman (Kelly Sullivan), Christian Newman’s (Alex Wilson) mother, being his last wife. Nick was last involved with Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) during one of their reunions.

Devoted viewers felt the nudge last year. They knew Nick was throwing Phyllis off for illogical reasons because the writing staff wanted to take both characters in different directions. Nick’s direction led to Sally.

Y&R Spoilers – Nate Hastings’ Hire Intriguing

Victoria wants to hire Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) to replace Sally for reasons that are somewhat similar to the thought processes Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) and, to a lesser degree, Devon Hamilton (Bryton James), used. Nate is a smart guy who can adapt his skill set to the business world.

Lily and Devon did not anticipate Nate’s aggressive approach. In contrast, Victoria is drawn to it and feels that mentality is well-suited to the cut-throat corporate world.

Nikki has a sit-down with Nick in Victoria’s office. Offering Victor Newman-like (Eric Braeden) wisdom, Nikki asked her younger son if he was drawn to Sally because being with her would irk his younger brother, Adam?

On the surface, it does not seem Nick or Sally are falling in love with each other in response to Adam. Nick is more mature than Adam and did not go after Sally to send a message to him.

For her part, Sally found Nick’s steady, drama-free approach refreshing. She has matured since arriving in Genoa City, Wisconsin. Their tie is deepening, with the end of Sally’s run at Newman Media possibly removing a deterrent to their coupling.
