The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Summer Newman Abbott Is Fed Up With Her Mother

Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) has been obsessive about getting rid of Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) for the better part of 2022 and Jack Abbott isn’t the only one sick of it. Her daughter, Summer Newman Abbott (Alison Lanier), is also done with her mother’s machinations and one-track mind and lets her know it’s time to end this little vendetta.

However, Summer does more than that. She informs her mother she will be spending Christmas with Diane and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor). Her husband has missed so many Christmases with his mom that she is not about to let that happen again. Summer will stand by Kyle’s side and Phyllis is just going to have to live with it.

As for Phyllis’ other child, Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei), he takes on a new project just in time for the holidays and a surprise arrival may be able to cheer Phyllis up in a way she never imagined.

Meanwhile, Jack and Kyle are not about to allow Diane to be hurt by Jeremy Stark (James Hyde). They are all in on defending Diane whenever possible because they are sure she must be the victim. To that end, they confront the man and demand to know what he really wants.

However, they do really know who they are dealing with and may make more trouble than they ever bargained for. Christmas is not going to turn out the way either one of these Abbott men had planned and it could end up being their own fault.

Jeremy has made quite a few enemies since he has been in town and he’s not even been in Genoa City for long. Is he going to have a long run or is he just a plot device meant to redeem Diane some more and make Phyllis look like nothing but a villain?
