Y&R Spoilers: Phyllis Discovers Summer’s Lie, Loyalty Threatens Their Bond

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will find out Summer Newman’s (Allison Lanier) big lie. It will threaten to destroy their bond, considering how Phyllis feels about Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters).

Summer lied to Phyllis about Diane. She told her mother that Diane left town in an attempt to make Jeremy Stark (James Hyde) believe his ex ran away. Of course, Summer knew lying to her mother was a risk, as Phyllis does not forgive easily.

With Diane back in town, it won’t take long for Phyllis to learn that Summer, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) lied to her. It won’t bother Phyllis that Jack and Kyle lied, but Summer’s deception will upset Red.

While the Y&R viewers know that Summer’s deception was warranted, Phyllis won’t see it that way. She will see it as a betrayal, as she’s her mother. Phyllis won’t see how reckless her behavior was when Diane was concerned.

Phyllis will confront her daughter about lying, demanding to know why she couldn’t tell her the truth. She may say that she would have stayed quiet about Diane’s whereabouts, something that Summer probably wouldn’t believe.

Y&R Spoilers– Can Summer Newman And Phyllis Summers Repair Their Relationship?

It’s not looking good for Summer and Phyllis right now. They’ve been through worse, but Summer has made her position clear. She loves her mother, but Kyle is her husband. Diane is Kyle’s mother, and he loves her. He doesn’t want anything Phyllis says or does to bring harm to his mother.

Young and the Restless spoilers state that Phyllis accepted Daniel Romalotti, Jr’s (Michael Graziadei) job offer. He pressed her to help him with his gaming platform project. At first, she was apprehensive as she wanted to work with Summer again. But eventually, she accepted the offer, embracing the opportunity.

The question on Y&R viewers’ minds is, will Summer and Phyllis repair their relationship> Can their relationship survive Diane? Time will tell, but it’s not looking good for the mother/daughter.
