Phyllis has been helping Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) to deal with a loss. Phyllis has wanted to help her friend Lauren Fenmore Baldwin (Tracey E. Bregman) because she is concerned about her husband Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc). Phyllis is going to find that Jack and Lauren will need to turn to her in order to deal with the challenges that they are going to face.

Phyllis has wanted to help Jack because he has lost his son Keemo Volien Abbott AKA Hao Nguyen II (Philip Moon). Jack was estranged from Keemo for years. Jack started to get text messages from a mysterious person. Jack needed Phyllis to help him to figure out who had been texting him. Jack and Phyllis were led to Los Angeles where they found out more about Keemo. Jack found out that Keemo wanted to have Jack in his life again. Jack was shocked to find out that Keemo had a daughter Allie Nguyen (Kelsey Wang). Jack wants to have a relationship with Allie but she wants to take time to get to know him.

Jack and Phyllis returned to Genoa City but they still did not know who was sending the mysterious texts. Phyllis has helped Jack to decide to get Allie to accept him in her life. Jack has decided to go back to Los Angeles to try to get Allie to want to have a relationship with him. Phyllis and Jack do not know that the person who has been sending the mysterious text messages is Kyle Abbott’s (Michael Mealor) mother Diana Jenkins (Susan Walters). Jack does not know that Diane has made contact with Allie. Phyllis will want to come to help Jack when she finds out that Diane has been texting Jack.

Phyllis knows that Lauren was worried about Michael going to work for Victor Newman (Eric Braeden). Victor has gotten Michael to go to Peru to find out the truth about Ashland Locke (Robert Newman). Michael was able to find out that Ashland had been pretending to have cancer. Michael has gone missing because he was looking for information on Ashland. Lauren is determined to find Michael.

Lauren has confronted Victor and has demanded that he find Michael. Victor has assured Lauren that he is looking for Michael. Lauren has turned to Michael’s brother Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart) for his computer skills. Kevin has been able to find people in the past. Lauren is worried that Michael is in danger and has gotten the police involved. Lauren knows that she can get help from Phyllis who would want to help Lauren to deal with her concerns about Michael.
