Y&R Spoilers: Nikki And Phyllis Pull Ashley Into A Spy Plot Against Tucker

The Young and The Restless (Y&R) spoilers and updates tease that Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will pull Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) into a spy plot. They’ll have her “do reconnaissance” while pretending to reconcile with Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) and date him to get him to spill his secrets about Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters).

Ashley is pretty sure she knows what she’s doing going into this, although she knows that these “dates’ will be dangerous liaisons. Since she’s already told Tucker that they will never be together again, she’ll have to backtrack and tell him she’s reconsidered. Perhaps she can put him on probation, in spite of his having told her he’s changed; maybe she can turn it around to force him to prove it.

Nikki and Phyllis think that sounds like a good plan, and they know they’re taking a risk asking her to do it. Ashley herself knows she’s taking a risk but insists she won’t be vulnerable to her ex.

Y & R Spoilers: Ashley Abbott Considers Using Spy Tactics

Ashley considers using spy tactics like an undercover detective might use, such as recording devices being on whenever she’s meeting with Tucker. Phyllis says she can definitely set her up and that as long as nothing goes to the police, it won’t be illegal. Ashley understands the concept of warrants being needed and it being borderline illegal to record someone without their knowledge, her son-in-law is a cop, remember? These recordings would be number one, for her own safety, and number two, to catch Tucker in lies like a rat in a trap. The information they want pertains to Tucker and Diane’s connection to each other in Los Angeles, not anything he’s doing that’s illegal.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Victor Newman’s Henchmen?

Nikki wonders if they should let Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) in on their plan, so that he could have some of his henchmen watching just in case. It might be safer for Ashley that way and besides, that way there would be witnesses and not just recordings. Victor’s got his men looking into why Tucker showed up when he did anyway, considering the Chancellor-Winters IPO was going on; Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) wants to do a buyout.

There’s always the possibility that perhaps Tucker will indeed tell on himself if Ashley pretends to respond to his charms, and they’ll have the recording. But they all realize Tucker can be a very dangerous man when crossed, so they will have to be careful.
