In the end, Nick and Victoria decided to call Chance. Victoria figured that Chance is a detective and is also family, so that would be their best chance to not get arrested for murder. There was only one problem, though. When Nick and Victoria looked over at the fireplace, Ashland’s body was gone.

The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal that Victor will learn about what’s happened. It is teased that Victor will take drastic action to deal with a family crisis. So, Ashland going missing and Nick possibly committing manslaughter would definitely fall under that umbrella.

It is confirmed that Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) takes a new assignment. So, this might be Michael finding out if Ashland walked away on his own or if someone took his body away.

Even though Chance will want to help Victoria and Nick, he is also bound by the oath he took. So, Chance might be able to delay filing the report but can’t put it off forever. If Chance and Michael can’t find Ashland alive and the body unexpectedly surfaces, it could put the entire Newman family on trial.

Nick could be accused of murder while Victoria might be an accomplice. The other possible charges could include tampering with evidence, failure to report a death, and even more depending on what happens next.
