The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers document that Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) believes his relationship with Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) was preserved. But is that feeling founded in reality or hope?

Elena’s decision to reject a good job offer in Baltimore, Maryland, indicated that she believed her connection with Nate was fractured rather than broken. The couple has restored trust since her return.

However, Elena’s comments about not trusting Audra Charles (Zuleyka Charles) could be setting up trust issues regarding Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle).

Living across from Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) is very soapy. Having Devon’s former supposed soul mate fall for his cousin, Nate, was especially dramatic. But having Elena move in with Nate, in the penthouse across the hall from Devon’s home, is classic soap.

Devon does not trust Nate and has no plans to adjust his outlook. He sees his cousin as the snake who broke his committed relationship with Elena.

Fans can legitimately question how committed Devon was since they had been together for a significant period and were nowhere near marriage. So, one of Nate’s continued goals will be to remind Devon of his failings, with the Abby Newman Abbott Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) cavort adding to that ammunition.

Y&R Spoilers – Nate Hastings Feels Good

Nate felt vindicated when he returned from his business trip to Los Angeles, California. Victoria was surprised he wanted Elena to attend the one-day event, not seeing the business reason why she needed to be there.

The audience read the implication. Victoria will use the best interests of the company line, the one that her father often used when coercing employees to abandon their loved ones in favor of endless Newman Enterprises worship.

Dominic’s character is intoxicated because he thinks he has found an environment where his ideas are accepted. Victoria sensed Nate would be drawn by the allure of power, and she was right.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Elena Dawson Good For Now

Nate does care about Elena. He did stop his plan to help Victoria take over Chancellor-Winters because Elena’s positive influence on him is real.

But now that Nate has been allowed to play in what he considers the big leagues will Elena remain on his team?

A scenario can be plausibly presented where Nate and Elena are tied together forever through a child they will have. However, this couple seems destined to break because Nate will choose to buy his own hype more than Elena’s love. Alternatively, a head-fake could have Elena leave Nate first on Y&R.
