Nate just discovered Ashland Locke’s (Robert Newman) betrayal, is looking for a new home and might still go into business. So, what does the future hold for Nate? Dominic talked about business, medicine, “Ashtoria,” Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and hard lessons.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Being Bamboozled

Y&R spoilers reveal that Nate really thought he had a friendship with Ashland. Now that Nate has seen Ashland’s true colors, his head is spinning. Not only does Nate realize that Ashland is a con artist and a fraud, faking a terminal cancer diagnosis is overwhelming to the surgeon. Plus, Ashland has threatened to destroy Nate and the career he’s spent years building.

Of course, Nate will do the right thing and expose the truth. That doesn’t make it any easier for Nate to deal with being fooled, though.

Y&R Spoilers – ‘Ashtoria’ Drama

Speaking to Soap Opera Digest, Dominic addressed the storyline. The actor said that Nate’s head is spinning over the “crazy betrayal.” It makes Nate question himself and his ability to judge people’s character.

Nate isn’t just concerned about himself, though. Nate fully supported Ashland because of Victoria Newman-Locke (Amelia Heinle). Dominic explained that he has tremendous respect for Victor and loved seeing her so happy. So, he feels deeply for the pain Victoria is going through right now.

The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal that Ashland encouraged Ashland to go into business. It seems that might not be totally off the table. Dominic spoke about Ashland’s threat and if Nate could go into business. The actor teased to Soap Opera Digest,

“I think if he gets into the business world, Nate could have more interaction with other characters… to jump into the business world where people are kingpins, like the Newmans, the Abbotts and the Winters family, then we could raise the stakes for Nate, I think.”

Dominic also mentioned that some situations would be hard for Nate to deal with but would also allow the character to spread his wings. As for Victor, Nate has his concerns about the way the patriarch operates. However, Victor is very dedicated to family, which Nate respects.

Nate did address Ashland making good on his threat and Nate possibly losing his medical license. The actor said that Ashland seems pretty determined to make Nate suffer. However, Dominic mentioned that if Nate does lose his medical license, then going into business would make sense. So, even if Ashland does win this battle, Nate will still be okay.

As for being fooled by the expert fraudster, Nate will have a hard time coping with falling for Ashland’s manipulation. However, Dominic also said that a year from now, Nate will be able to see through these types of people. So, it might be hard for him to deal with the betrayal now, but it will be a useful lesson for the future.
