Michael Mealor is back on Y&R and Kyle arrives back in Genoa City this week when Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) tells him he hs to return home ASAP for family business. While Kyle can’t even imagine what his father is talking about, he gets on a plane and leaves Summer Newman Abbott (who will seeon be played by Allison Lanier) behind.
Whatever his father has to tell him, he can’t imagine why he couldn’t do it over a video call. After all, that is how he learned that his older brother, Keemo (Philip Moon), had just died. What is so important that he can’t tell him over video phone again.
Y&R Spoilers – Kyle Abbott Better Sit Down For This One
Kyle still can’t understand why his fathe is talking about keemo. What else is there to say? The man wasn’t close to the family for decades and he died. However, Jack has quite a tale to tell that starts with the odd text messages and then seems to end with Jack informing Kyle he has a niece and her name is Allie (Kelsey Wang)). Kyle is surprised that Keemo had a daughter, but he still doesn’t understand why he had to hear this in person.
Then, Jack just has to blurt it out. His mother is alive. Wait, what? How can Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) be alive when her body had been bludgeoned to alleged death? Kyle had finally put his life back together after it fell apart as a child when he lost his mother. He has a wife, a career, a child, and now he has to deal with a returned-from-the-dead mother?
How will he handle this? Will he be relieved or angry? Thos first moments between Diane and Kyle will certainly be fascinating ones with Diane trying to explain himself as Kyle goes between rag and relief. How could his mother have stayed away for so long when she didn’t have to? Didn’t she care about him at all? Stay tuned to The Young and the Restless weekdays to see how this story plays out.
