Y&R Spoilers: Kyle Defends His Mother, Won’t Let Phyllis Push Her Out

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers show that Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) has finally come clean to Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and exposed her past in an attempt to get his sympathy and hopefully get the monkey off her back named Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford).

While Jack took the news in stride and is trying to figure out what to do with this information, what I think will be more important is how her son, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) takes the news and I suspect that he will not be too happy about everyone’s shadow war to push his mother out of town, especially after all the work they’ve done to reform a relationship.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – To His Mother’s Defense?

I suspect Kyle will rush to his mother’s side as he will not want anyone pushing her away after everything she has done, and he will especially not be happy to hear that the leader of this little gang is the mother of his wife, Summer Newman (Allison Lanier).

Kyle has never really been the biggest fan of Phyllis but he’s maintained peace with her for his marriage mostly, and while I don’t think he would ever intentionally try to pick a fight with Phyllis if it comes down between her or his mother, he’s going to choose Diane every time.

Y&R Spoilers – Summer Newman’s (Allison Lanier) Reaction

More concerning is how Summer will feel about Kyle going against Phyllis and what her reaction will be to the whole situation. Since Lanier took over the role from Hunter King, however, there seems to be much more of maturity to the character and I think that she may see the error of her mother and how she has been acting.

This situation is going to stir up a lot more issues than we realize and several parties are going to be affected. While many viewers are pulling for Phyllis, I have to put my foot in the ground and say that I am team Diane and the Abbotts. Can we for once, let someone be happy? I understand it is a soap opera, but at what point does this just seem overdone and ridiculous?
