However, it appears like Jack has had enough and has finally approached Phyllis to encourage her to relax, even throwing her own past in her face, which surprised Phyllis. She’s never had someone point out her own weaknesses like this before, and it was coming from one of the men she’s loved the most in her life.
Fans reacted to the moment by saying things like, “Today’s episode was epic.Seeing Jack that mad at Phyllis and calling her out for her past faults including what she did to Christine Williams years ago and other things she did in her past was EPIC! Loved it…”, and “Loved how Jack saw thru Phyllis and countered every move she made. He sure knows Red.”
It seems everyone enjoyed seeing this side of Jack and even compared it to the moment when he threw a chair out of the window by back when! It’s clear that Jack cares about Diane, and this just proved it.
There are only a few reasons why Jack would be so defensive of Diane, and one is because she is the mother of his child and they have a history together. However, I think there might actually be more going on than most people want to admit. Not only do they share a child, but the way that Diane has come back to Genoa City to reclaim her relationship with her son has been admirable.
Especially with everything else that has been flung at her, she has been able to stand tall and withstand it. Not just Jack, but her son, Kyle, has also gone up to bat for her. He approached Jeremy Stark (James Hyde) at his hotel room and told him to back off from his mother. Diane has a strong family and it’s time for her and Jack to get back together.
