Y&R Spoilers: Five Key Facts About Tucker McCall

The Young and The Restless (Y&R) spoilers and updates tease there are five key facts for newer fans to know about Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John). Now that the apparently infamous Tucker has come back to town, here’s some more about him.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers: He’s Adopted

Tucker is a love child produced by an affair between Katherine Chancellor (Jeanne Cooper) and Arthur Hendricks (David Hedison) when she was married to Gary Reynolds (uncast character). He is the half-brother of Brock Reynolds (Beau Kayzer) and Katherine gave Tucker up for adoption as a baby to avoid a scandal, while Gary was overseas. Gary and Katherine’s marriage did eventually end but she never said much about him, although she did say they spent a year apart before it ended.

So Tucker was adopted as a baby by a family with the name McCall, although she once believed Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) was the baby she gave up. Apparently Katherine didn’t want to know if the baby was a boy or a girl, and Tucker searched for his birth parents.

Y & R Spoilers: He’s A Father

Tucker is the biological father of Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) and a groupie named Yolanda Hamilton (Debbi Morgan) also known as “Candy Cane”. They got together when he was managing a rock band and never knew Devon was his son until he hired him as a record producer. Longtime viewers will remember Devon had a hearing loss and thanks to Tucker, he was cured with cochlear implants, and Devon inherited his love of music from Tucker. Devon is Tucker’s only child that has been revealed, although considering the lifestyle Tucker led, there could be others.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers: He’s A Playboy

Tucker has had the reputation of being a playboy, and what could be considered a swinger; a recent YR episode showed Allie Nguyen (Kelsey Wang) shocked by his history. She knows him as Tucker the famous music mogul but didn’t know he’d lived in Genoa City, is Devon’s father and dated both her boss and her boyfriend’s mother. Tucker dated Sharon Newman, (Sharon Case) married Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) and cheated with Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) during his time in Genoa City.

Tucker claims to be on the road to redemption as is Diane, and wants to make amends with Ashley but that may be easier said than done. He has nearly as many enemies in Genoa City as Diane does.

Y & R Spoilers: Abby Newman Tried To Kill Him

Abby Newman-Abbott- Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) hated Tucker so much she tried to kill him while he was dating her mom. She vandalized their wedding decorations and ran him over while drunk, leading to his brain injuries that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) recently mentioned. Ashley took the blame while he recovered from traumatic brain injuries, later marrying him but it didn’t last long. No wonder Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) wants him to leave town and not make contact with Ashley or Abby.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers: New Secrets

Now that he has reappeared in Genoa City, he has new secrets, many of them tied to Diane. Apparently he was the guy in the Bentley with her all those times that Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) saw them and told Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott). It was recently revealed that he was instrumental in helping Diane find Allie and let her take the credit so she could win Jack and Kyle Abbott’s (Michael Mealor) trust.

Tucker sounds like he may be trying to win Ashley back, but that’s going to be a bit difficult since she stays in Paris most of the time. For now, he’s staying in Genoa City, and that might have to do with his son and grandson, and the rest of what’s left of the Chancellors.
