Y&R Spoilers: Diane’s Tense Encounter With Talia

The Young and The Restless (Y&R) spoilers and updates tease in this week’s Soap Opera Digest that Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) will be shocked to spot Talia Morgan (Natalie Morales). Diane recognizes her from Los Angeles when she sees her dining alone in Society.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – A Red Flag

A red flag immediately goes up for Diane, since she knows that Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) was snooping around for LA dirt on her, thanks to Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc). Talia is a well-known investigative reporter in the Los Angeles area so Diane is sure she’s there to investigate her; so she goes over to her table. Talia is the one who’s blindsided now, not expecting the person she’s supposed to investigate to show up at her table for a chat.

Talia is definitely caught off guard and quickly puts together a cover story that she’s in Genoa City doing a story on Ashland Locke (Robert Newman). Diane smiles, and tells Talia she was acquainted with Locke and will be happy to tell her what she knows.

Y & R Spoilers – Code Talkers

As Talia and Diane talk, it’s clearly tense and it’s clearly in almost a type of code; Diane tries to tease out of Talia why she’s really there, Talia remains evasive. The two go around and around the mulberry bush, so to speak, as the monkey, Diane, tries to catch the weasel, Talia. The two seem to be about evenly matched where evading the other one’s feelers for their “secrets” is concerned.

Diane is as determined to get the truth out of Talia and expose what her real assignment is as Talia is resistant to spilling the tea. As they are in the midst of their tension filled go round, all of a sudden Nikki and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) show up.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Reinforcements?

Talia of course is already acquainted with the women who hired her for this exposé assignment, Nikki and Phyllis. Their arrival is bound to give Talia the sense that the cavalry has sent in reinforcements, since it’s difficult to trick the truth out of someone who’s obviously onto you. It can be expected that Diane will feel pretty ganged up on when they arrive, but she’s not going to let anything slip that can hurt her.

Diane will simply perform her new Marchetti job as well as she can and avoid conflict when possible. After all, this is her second chance with her son and his father and she doesn’t want to blow it.
