The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Peter Bergman (Jack Abbott) teased the future of Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) during an interview. Based on what the actor said, Diane is given grandma duty. What did Bergman say is in store for Jack, Diane, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor), Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), and Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez)?

The Young And the Restless Spoilers – Phyllis Summers Loses Standing

Y&R spoilers reveal that Phyllis has been losing control ever since Diane surfaced alive. Not only is Diane alive but is staying in Genoa City. Diane has been working on getting forgiveness from Kyle. While it was a challenge at first, Diane seems to be winning, especially after Phyllis’ latest meltdown.

Jack isn’t the only that is turning from Phyllis. Kyle and Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) are aware of Diane’s history with Phyllis. However, Diane is playing all her cards right while Phyllis is spinning out of control.

Y&R Spoilers – The Tables Have Turned

The tables are quickly turning. Not only does Jack dump Phyllis, but it seems that Summer is starting to question her mother’s sanity. Summer shares her concern with Kyle. Plus, it is teased that Diane earns a lot of points with several members of the Abbott family. So many points that Bergman hinted that Diane gets a chance to be a grandmother to Harrison.

The Young And the Restless Spoilers – Jack Abbott’s Perspective

The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal that Bergman spoke to Soap Opera Digest about Jack’s current state of mind.

“It’s unfortunate what he hears [Phyllis’ confession to Diane] because it’s a real smack in the face. All of those recent moments of passion with Phyllis seem to be losing their meaning… When Phyllis tries to blame Diane, that really ticks Jack off.”

Y&R Spoilers – ‘Terrific Grandmother’

It seems that Phyllis won’t be able to make things right with Jack. Not only that but Phyllis’ outburst actually makes Diane look good in Jack’s mind. The actor explained,

“Diane is doing what she should be doing in re-establishing her relationship with Kyle, so she’s not misbehaving. She’s being a terrific grandmother and not pushing buttons or putting people in situations where they’re uncomfortable. And so, yeah, it starts to get more complex from there.”

Notice how Bergman confirmed that Diane is being a “terrific grandmother.” Diane met Harrison once but hasn’t really spent any time with the little boy. So, it sounds as if Jack, Kyle, and Summer agree to give Diane a chance to be a grandmother to Harrison. Will they end up regretting that decision, or is there a chance that Diane has really changed?
