With Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) back in town, Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) is well aware that she is sitting on a ticking time bomb, and her activities during that decade she was supposed to be dead and buried are about to catch up with her. So, rather than allowing Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) to find out what she did on his own, she decides to just tell him about it — well, at least some of it.

Her problem is that Jack is already disillusioned with her and angry at his own foolishness that he doesn’t want to hear her. Will she be persuasive enough to change his mind? And what exactly did she do all those years in Los Angeles that she feels she has to actually tell Jack about a bit of it just so her whole new life in Genoa City doesn’t blow up on her?

Speaking of Diane, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) are not giving up on their quest to have Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) learn all she can about Diane from Tucker. Sadly, this may all backfire on poor Ashley. Not surprisingly, Nikki and Phyllis just do not care.

It’s been more than a year since Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) and Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) decided to become parents through adoption and now their dreams might be coming true. Christine Blair Williams (Lauralee Bell) delivers the good news that a pregnant woman may want to give them her baby, but she also wants to meet them first and get to know the newlyweds.

While the women are thrilled, Mariah is being more cautious than Tessa, but that is her personality. She also remembers her own heartbreak when she was a kidnapped pregnant woman who then had to give the baby she was carrying up so she is trying to guard herself against even more heartbreak.
