The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Daniel Romalotti, Jr (Michael Graziadei) may cause tension between Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) and Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) over his gaming platform project. Devon will start to have second thoughts, which prompts him to want to pull out of bankrolling the project.
Lily won’t agree with his decision, and it will cause tension between them. Devon worries that, while Daniel’s project is a solid idea, it might be harder than he thinks to make it a profitable business.

Devon does not get caught up in someone else’s vision. However, Lily is. She sees the good in Daniel and wants him to stick around in any way possible. In her eyes, even if the project fails, she can spend time with Daniel in the process.

Y&R fans see the red flags with Daniel’s project. The first warning sign was when Devon asked Daniel if he’s hired a creative team to help him get the project on the right foot. He hadn’t put a team together because he was waiting for the official green light from Chancellor Winters. For Devon, that was a problem. But by Lily’s reaction, you could tell she was buying everything Daniel was selling. That alone could make Devon feel uneasy.

Another red flag for Devon is the fact that Daniel wants to bring his mother on as creative director. Y&R spoilers state that Devon wonders if Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will bring her drama to Chancellor Winters as she did at Marchetti. He doesn’t want any part of that type of workplace drama. Devon thinks other qualified people can lead Daniel’s team without involving Phyllis.

Daniel’s project could give Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) an opening to take over CW. It’s the last thing Devon wants to happen. He knows his father is a ruthless businessman, and if you give him a little wiggle room, he’ll find a way to steal the whole company from you.

We can’t discount the fact that Tucker could tell his son that betting on Daniel’s gaming platform being a success is a huge gamble and very risky, solidifying his resolve to pass on Daniel’s project. It’s setting the stage for a massive showdown between Devon and Lily.
