Y&R Spoilers: Devon And Abby Cross The Line – Marriage To Chance Is Dead?

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Abby Newman Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) and Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) cross the line when they share a kiss. Abby’s marriage to Chance Chancellor (Connor Floyd) is on thin ice as they fail to connect on essential things. Devon has been struggling with letting his beloved father, Neil Winters’ (Kristoff St. John) memory go.

With so much going on in both of their lives, they needed someone to listen and offer support. What neither expected was for them to share a passionate kiss, one that could end Chance and Abby’s marriage for good.

Abby drops off Dominic Chancellor (River and Rainn Ware) at Devon’s house for visitation. She immediately notices Devon appears distracted and upset about something. Being his best friend, she asks him what’s bothering him, offering her support.

Devon shares that Abby’s advice about Nate Hastings, Jr. (Sean Dominic) and the company helped him see that he’s been clinging too much to Neil’s memory. Abby appreciated that she helped him but pointed out that there was nothing wrong with having a special place in his heart for Neil.

“Abby doesn’t think there is anything wrong with cherishing a special bond, and that’s a strength, not a weakness. She even shares how her [adoptive dad] Brad Carlton (Don Diamont) impacted her life to be the woman she is today,” Ordway revealed.

Abby’s support helped Devon feel much better, and he headed upstairs to put Dominic to bed. While alone, Abby thinks about her relationship with Chance and hopes they can make things work. She’s trying her best to stay positive, but it’s hard to do when she feels so much distance between them.

When Devon returns, he sees a change in Abby’s mood. She immediately admits things aren’t good with Chance. She wonders if their relationship is built on drama and excitement and suggests she never got the chance to get to know her husband. She noted that when outside forces are against them, they make a great team, but when it comes to everyday life, they don’t see eye-to-eye.

Devon declares to Abby that he’d move heaven and earth for her and Dominic. Y&R spoilers state that when they embrace in a passionate kiss, which takes them both by surprise.

“It catches them both by surprise because it’s not anything they had planned. But it’s something they both need at that moment,” Ordway said.
