Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) has committed so many misdeeds. It is hard, if not impossible to count them based on the subjective nature of soapy reality and one’s perspective.

Hardcore viewers recall that Victor recruited Chelsea to entrap Billy when he was in Burma. The Moustache intended to use Chelsea to force Victoria to break from Billy.

But Victor’s scheme did not produce the effect he intended. Victoria and Billy were married twice, with one of the weddings resulting in multiple arrests. Yes, Victor orchestrated that double handcuff nuptial event.

Chelsea has never questioned Victoria’s effectiveness. She knows that Johnny was raised responsibly and is a good boy because of Victoria’s influence.

Neither lady questions Billy’s influence. He is seen as a good dad who sincerely loves and cares for Johnny.

The SORAS’ing of Johnny implies that an older edition of this character may be called upon for his input. What will Mishkind’s version of Johnny have to say about Chelsea, once he learns that she is his birth mother?

Chelsea is a poor soul at this point in her storyline. She is on her own, with Anita Lawson (Catherine Bach) living in Minnesota and Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) being away at camp for the summer.

Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) rejected Chelsea’s call to attempt reconciliation in the recent past. However, they’ve had warm conversations recently, with Chelsea persuading Adam to drop his planned attack against Victor and accept Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) job offer.

While Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) and Chelsea share a bond due to Rey Rosales’ (Jordi Vilasuso) passing, Billy has emerged as the most likely guy for Chelsea to bond with. Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will have a say in whether that happens or not on Y&R.
