One of her friends is Adam because even he told his former wife that it is best for her if they do not pursue reconciliation and continue with their lives. Chelsea was hurt by that analysis and chose to gloss over the dysfunction and pain each caused during their most recent pairing.

Some look down their noses at Chelsea. They see her as the eternal con artist. Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) is one of those people.

But Connor Newman’s (Judah Mackey) grandfather has also admitted that Chelsea truly loves her son and is a good mother. She has matured through motherhood, which began years ago when she and Adam were preparing for their first child, Riley Newman (Malachi Barton), who she miscarried.

As devoted viewers recall, Chelsea was coerced by Victor into having Billy Abbott’s (as then played by Billy Miller and now played by Jason Thompson) child. She agreed to allow Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle), her married name at that time in the plot, to raise Johnny Abbott (Holden and Ryan Hare) as her own.

Chelsea’s sacrifice, in giving up Johnny, strength in dealing with the loss of Riley, and fulfillment in raising Connor to be a good young man affirms her heart, no matter what detractors say.

Y&R Spoilers – Sally Spectra Does Not Touch Her Perceived Rival

Chelsea is not Sally Spectra’s (Courtney Hope) rival. But Sally does not see it that way.

While it is true that Sally got under Chelsea’s skin during their time together at Newman Media, that stand-alone entity is now part of Newman-Locke. Chelsea and Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) are pursuing a new version of their fashion platform, while Sally has begun serving as Adam’s Chief Operating Officer in the obtained Newman Media.

Sally is in no way comparable to Chelsea when life achievements are considered. But Sally’s insecurities cause her to believe that Chelsea is still a rival for Adam’s heart. This is partially why she brags to Egan’s character about being with Adam romantically and her new job.

The Young and the Restless Spoilers – Adam Newman Still Managing Personalities

Adam was not thinking straight when he allowed Chloe and Sally to join Newman Media in the recent past. The eventual addition of Chelsea created far too much drama and very little productive work.

While the above dynamic no longer exists, Adam and Chelsea are Connor’s parents. So, their paths will cross.

But now that Sally is becoming Adam’s significant other, she will have a significant role in Connor’s life. That will enable plenty of personality clashes for Adam to potentially manage. However, Chelsea is sharper than Sally and cannot take her bait on Y&R.
