Chance knew that the dots weren’t connecting quite right. It really weighed on the detective, which meant he was spending less time at home.

Even though Chance and Abby have some romantic moments coming up, there will also be conflict. It is hinted that Chance could get pulled away from his family to work on another case. When this happens yet again, Abby could turn to someone else for support.

It is teased that Abby could turn to Devon Hamilton (Bryton James). After all, Devon is one of Abby’s closest friends. Devon is the man who helped give Chance and Abby a child. Plus, Devon has already listened to Abby vent about Chance’s priorities.

There is also confirmation that Devon talks to someone about issues with Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan). It would make sense that Devon would confide in Abby about Amanda. It also makes sense that Devon would repay the favor by trying to help Abby with Chance. However, could support and understanding lead to something more?
