The Young and the Restless spoilers document Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) just returned from caring for her mother. She expected Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) to embrace her. But he was unable to do so.

Abby Newman Abbott Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) and Devon made an impulse mistake that may cost both of them dearly. Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) told his wife he needs time and space to process what he witnessed while standing aside Amanda in the penthouse.

Amanda told Devon she does not want his twisted version of love. With that, at least one couple is done.

Chance spoke calmly at the Chancellor mansion after he and Abby returned home. He acknowledged being the person who allowed Devon to become an intimate part of their lives.

Devoted The Young and the Restless viewers recall that Chance could not father a child after taking a bullet for Adam Newman (Mark Grossman). Donny Boaz (Chance) was playing this character at that time in the plot, with his needed surgery enabling the donor storyline.

Devon stepped forward, offering to become the genetic father of the child Abby and Chance planned to have through a surrogate. Ordway’s character has scar tissue that made her unable to carry a child. Abby and Chance picked Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) as the surrogate, and she accepted.

Amanda can not be blamed for being away from Genoa City, Wisconsin. She was not on a work assignment or a pleasure trip.

Naya Benedict (Ptosha Storey) had heart issues before eventually needing to enter a care facility. This plot point was developed to allow Morgan’s character to be off-screen for a significant period this year.

Readers of this comprehensive soap site know that Morgan voluntarily dropped to recurring status because she wanted to spend more time at home with her young family. TPTB created a believable tale that plausibly wrote Amanda away from Devon.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Devon Hamilton’s Second Unforced Error

Any guy in GC would be upset if the woman he loved opted to unexpectedly be with another man. Devon was naturally upset when Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) revealed that Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) was the man she loved.

But Devon did not have to punch Nate in the face at the Top of the Tower. Nate fell off his chair, badly hurt one of his hands, needed surgery, and could no longer work as a surgeon.

Anyone can make an impulse mistake. But cavorting with Abby in the penthouse is Devon’s second mistake. That is a pattern that is causing his world to collapse on Y&R.
