It is teased that the meeting takes an unexpected turn. In the preview, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) introduces Allie Nguyen (Kelsey Wang) to everyone. However, it’s teased that not all the Abbotts will be welcoming.

Y&R spoilers reveal that during the week of May 9, Jack will hold a family meeting. However, it is stated that the meeting takes an unexpected turn. There is a lot going on with the Abbott family right now.

Jack and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) are dealing with Diane Jenkins’ (Susan Walters) return from the “dead.” Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) made a bombshell confession, which has left Jack reeling. Then, there is Jack’s newfound granddaughter, Allie.

In the preview clip, Jack is standing up and has an announcement to make. Right on cue, Allie walks in the door and greets everyone. The entire Abbott family is still in shock from learning about Allie. One person that was suspicious from the start was Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson).

The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal that head writer and co-executive producer Josh Griffith, Allie will have a hard time in the beginning. Plus, not all the Abbotts are going to open their arms to Allie, according to Griffith’s interview in Soap Opera Digest.

“As this is playing out, Ashley thinks there is another shoe to drop. Traci [Abbott, Beth Maitland]  is smart and clever but at the same time, she has such a big heart and wants to support Jack. Ashley, on the other hand,  has been burned before, so she’s more like, ‘Let’s be a little careful here.’”

The head writer added,

“Through finding the Abbotts, Allie finds herself. And there’s still this whole other side of, why is she estranged from her mom?’ All she had was her dad and now she has no one, but she’s left with a grandfather that she never knew existed. She’ll be coming into this very cautiously and she’ll have a wonderful journey to take.”

Y&R Spoilers – What’s Next For Newcomer

It is hinted that Allie could find a romance with Noah Newman (Rory Gibson). Plus, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) bonds with a new woman. It doesn’t say the bond is romantic, so it could be Allie that Billy forms a connection with.

There is also the Diane factor, and it’s suggested that she will continue to bond with Allie. So, that will make all the dynamics a lot more interesting.
