Y&R Spoilers: Adam’s Shocking Surprise-Proposes To Sally

The Young and The Restless (Y&R) spoilers and updates tease in this week’s Soap Opera Digest that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will have a shocking surprise for Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope). He’ll observe Sally on a date with his brother Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and he’ll realize he’s lost her for good, and a tad tipsy, asks her to marry him!

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Romantic Regrets

Adam has been regretting he broke up his romance with Sally for quite a while, it having been a somewhat manipulative move to save her job at Newman Media.  But now he realizes what a boneheaded move that was, and if he hadn’t done that, they’d likely still be together. In the meantime, Nick and Sally have decided to move forward with their relationship and Adam witnesses them in a sexy lip lock at the Glam Club.

That sets Adam to drinking and when he’s got just drunk enough to numb both his pain and his sense, he beelines over to the couple. He then asks for a private moment with Sally, and Nick objects but Sally says she’ll talk to Adam.

Y & R Spoilers – She Can Handle It

Nick, always playing the knight in shining armor would be happy to rescue Sally from his obnoxiously drunk brother, but she insists she can handle it. Sally is a strong and independent woman, and quite capable of making her own decisions, telling Nick this should only take a minute. Adam asks Sally to go with him to a more private area of the club, Nick’s eagle eye on them all the way. Adam’s glad she said she’d listen to him, thinking in his not quite coherent mind that she might say she wants him back, and he tells her he regrets their breakup.

Adam’s about as drunk as a skunk in a trunk, as the saying goes, and he blindsides and shocks Sally with what he asks her next. Adam continues his spiel, telling her he believes that they belong together and then he delivers his zinger, asking her to marry him. Sally is obviously taken aback, and Adam hadn’t even planned to ask her that, he just wanted another chance.

He has no ring, he has no plan, he just has a belly overfilled with liquor and probably the breath to match. Sally isn’t sure what to do or say, if he’s drunk he’s probably somewhat out of control; she doesn’t want to hurt him, but doesn’t want to give false hope either.
