Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) would rather not give up the reigns of power. He believes that Victoria Newman Locke’s (Amelia Heinle) choices put the family business in a precarious position.

Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) finds Adam’s half-billion-dollar payoff offer interesting. But it is also an admission that Adam sees Ashland as a powerful threat.

Adam understood why Victoria wanted him to play along in what is a setup. The Newman’s plan is to pretend that Adam is guilty, with invented evidence being presented that makes him look like he framed Ashland.

Victoria’s plan is sharp, as it builds off events that happened over time and Adam’s horrendous reputation. Ashland appears to believe that his wife still trusts him, which is key to Victoria’s plan succeeding.

Adam is willing to go along with his oldest sister’s efforts because they are endorsed and supported by Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), who he has grown to respect.

But Adam wanted to retain the interim CEO title, which allows him to audition for his father in real-time.

Y&R Spoilers – Victoria Newman Locke Will Outmaneuver Husband and Brother

Victoria is the most creatively cunning business leader of Victor’s four children. Nick is smartly guiding New Hope. Abby Newman Abbott Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) built success with Society. But Victor believes that Victoria has what it takes to lead the family company.

Being the firstborn implies certain responsibilities. Victoria was the first to face many challenges before her siblings did. She has also, arguably been the best at dealing with Victor, with the proof being that he handed her the reigns in the recent past.

It would not be smart to side against Victoria, as she plays both the short and long game.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Ashland Locke Is An Escape Artist

Ashland did not leave New York and move to Genoa City, Wisconsin, of all places, and then merge his company with Newman Enterprises so that he could fold. So,

Ashland has yet to admit to lying about cancer. He is going along with the plan his wife is claiming to pursue, with Adam as Ashland’s framer. Of course, Victoria, her family, and the audience know that she has concluded Ashland betrayed her.

Escaping the tight box that Ashland built for himself will not be easy. But like Victoria, it would not be wise to side against him on Y&R.
