Y&R Spoilers: Adam Bitter, Victor Picks Nick To Squash Ashland

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal the Newman siblings often compete and have rifts. Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) pitches an idea to Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) to expose Ashland Locke (Robert Newman). However, Victor rejects the idea and instead of using Adam, chooses Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) to save Victoria Newman-Locke (Amelia Heinle).

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Victor Newman’s Problem

Y&R spoilers reveal that Victor thought he was going to finally be able to take down Ashland. While Victor did make some progress thanks to Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc), there is a new complication. Michael has vanished in Peru and nobody knows where he is or what happened to him.

Victor tried giving Ashland an ultimatum, but that blew up. Not only did Ashland refuse, but he also has Victoria convinced that he is the victim. As Victor tries to come up with a new strategy to expose Ashland and protect Victoria, Adam makes a suggestion.

Y&R Spoilers – Adam Newman’s Idea

Victor has a chat with Adam during the week of March 14. Victor is really struggling with how to protect his legacy and expose Ashland while causing Victoria the least amount of pain. Victor tells Adam that he’s going to use Nick to try and get through to Victoria.

However, Adam doesn’t like this one bit. In fact, Adam thinks he did really well in making sure Victoria’s wedding wasn’t ruined. So, Adam assumed that he would be the one to take down Ashland. There is also a problem with Adam’s plan, which is to go ahead and have the exposé on Ashland published.

Choosing Nick Newman

The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal that Victor choosing Nick will cause some serious problems with Adam. While Victor is aware of the rivalry, there is a more important reason why Nick is chosen.

It’s due to Victor being accused of targeting Ashland so he can be in control. Adam is part of the business, too. For this reason, as well as the existing tension between Adam and Victoria, Nick would be a better option.

As fans know, Nick and Victoria used to be really close. Plus, Nick isn’t involved with the Newman family business. So, Victor thinks Nick would have the best chance of getting Victoria to see the truth about Ashland.

The Young and the Restless: Rejection and Resentment

No matter how good of a reason Victor has for choosing Nick, Adam gets resentful. Plus, Victor doesn’t like Adam’s plan. Victor knows that it’s just Adam’s way of saving the day while also getting in a jab toward Victoria.

Unfortunately, there doesn’t seem to be any possibility of Adam putting his resentment aside. It sounds like, despite Victor knowing that the whole family needs to band together, Adam’s jealousy and bitterness could ruin everything.
