Y&R Spoilers: Adam Arrested In Ashland Murder Investigation?

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) is primed for a soaptastic whodunit—is there anyone he hasn’t teed off, swindled, betrayed, lied to or just generally been doggy dog?

Let’s face it Ashland’s current circumstances scream murder mystery!!! The character of Ashland is being written into a corner that can only end with his exit. For one thing he has committed non-escapable crimes, secondly, against the Newman’s and thirdly the original actor in the role recently left.

Everyone in town will be a suspect but no more than Adam Newman (Mark Grossman). The Newman Family is Ashland’s top target thus anyone with the Newman name will be looked at twice for motive and opportunity. Plus in the March 16 episode Adam raised a big red flag when he said, “Guess that murder is out of the question then.” He said that to his dad, but it is par for the course that enough characters say enough to implicate themselves in a whodunit. He told his dad Victor Newman (Eric Braeden).

Adam said he was just kidding, but that doesn’t mean someone won’t get wind of his statement and use it against him. Soap scribes try to be stingy with words, only using ones that count and eliminating the fat.

So having Adam joke about murdering Ashland seems like a big red flag. Ashy has burned a lot of people and there is no shortage of suspects. But to have Adam kidding about his murder makes longtime soap fans reason that his death must be 99.9% certain.

Adam has worked hard to be a better person. He gave his kidney to his niece and the family was grateful. That was the same niece he kidnapped as a child so it was a neutralizing of karma so to speak, a payoff if one wants to look at it that way.

It’s easy to imagine Adam being a suspect in a murder investigation—sadly he has killed before. At least twice. Explosive show spoilers reveal that Ashland tries to jump town during the week of March 21-25, but something will go wrong.

Adam may not be guilty of Ashland’s murder, but his reputation alone could place him in a sticky situation.
