Trevor St. John will appear on Y&R in a role which has not yet been fully described. He starred on the ABC soap One Life to Live before heading to Genoa City, Wisconsin.
On OLTL St. John initially played Todd Manning a role also held by Roger Howarth who is now Austin Gatlin-Holt on ABC’s General Hospital.
Later St. John’s character was revealed to be his twin brother, Victor.
Who will the actor play on Y&R? No details have been released as the show is playing it close to the vest.
We can tell you that St. John will begin taping scenes this month and it is expected his character will debut this fall.
St. John primetime gigs include the first two seasons of Roswell, New Mexico.
Fans have been speculating on social media about St. John’s arrival and the role he will play. Some fans think he could be connected to the Ashland Locke (ex Robert Newman) mysterious death case.
As the thinking goes, the actor could be a family member of Locke’s. After Locke’s death could it be that his kin come a calling on the Genoa City citizens to answer questions about how he died?
Alternately, some fans think that St. John could appear in a recast role.
The rumor mill is also on fyah with dish that the actor could be recast as Dylan MacAvoy, a role last played by Steve Burton (ex Jason Morgan, General Hospital). Burton recently appeared on the Beyond Salem spinoff on Peacock. In other news, this week NBC announced that their sole remaining daytime drama, Days of our Lives, will move to Peacock this September, requiring viewers to pay a fee. The show debuted in 1965 and fans have burnt down the internet voicing their collective displeasure over the network’s decision.
